This policy applies to personal data collected through this website and in connection with general business enquiries, demonstrations and pre-contract discussions. Separate privacy information applies to the AI CCTV analytics service provided to business customers and to individuals whose images may be captured at customer sites.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the website and our business, including:

  • Netlify for website hosting and security.
  • Cal.com for demo scheduling. The booking calendar loads automatically when you visit our book a demo page, and Cal.com processes the details you enter to make a booking, together with technical data such as your IP address, under its own privacy policy. If you would rather not use it, you can book by email instead and the calendar page can simply be avoided.
  • Our email and business software providers, used to manage your enquiry.

These providers act as our processors under written agreements, or as independent controllers under their own privacy policies. Where data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law. In practice:

  • Enquiry and demo records, where no contract follows, are held for up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
  • Records relating to a contract or customer relationship are kept for up to 6 years after the relationship ends, to meet legal, tax and limitation period requirements.
  • General business correspondence is kept for up to 24 months.
  • Technical and security logs are kept for up to 12 months.
  • Consent records, where we rely on a consent you have given us, are kept for up to 12 months from our last contact so we can evidence that consent.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@mitigateit.co.uk.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (www.ico.org.uk), although we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
